Three out of three for Visionaire

Three out of three for Visionaire

Lammerskraal Stud’s exciting young sire Visionaire has been enjoying a consistent stream of winners lately and he had a memorable treble at Fairview on Friday afternoon when all three of Visionaire’s runners carded to race won!

First Visionaire runner to score was 3yo Baffert, who bolted up to break his maiden by three and a quarter lengths over 1200m for trainer Yvette Bremner and owners Hedley McGrath, Anthony Williams and Grant Knowles.

Baffert’s easy win was followed up by Fantasy Quest, also from the Bremner yard, who romped home to pick up her second win for owners Optima Trust over 1600m, while the third and final Visionaire sired winner on the card came when the Wilgerbosdrift bred and owned Newcrest ran on to down the Australian import Baahir by half a length in the last race of the day over 1200m.

Other notable winners for Visionaire recently include debut winner Hyperactive and the classy fillies Heaps Of Fun and Visuality.

Visionaire also found favour at last week’s KZN Yearling Sale, where a colt by the G1 King’s Bishop Stakes winner made R320 000 to the bid of Nic Jonnson.
