Lammerskraal Stud’s sensational young sire Visionaire enjoyed a red letter spell during the final stages of the week before Christmas.
Grand Slam’s G1 winning son was represented by no fewer than seven individual winners in a space of just four days, stamping himself as arguably the hottest stallion in South Africa.
Visionaire now ranks above the likes of Querari, Sail From Seattle, Judpot and Philanthropist on the South African General Sires List.
His seven race winning streak commenced when the Mayfair Speculator owned Supercilious landed her fourth career win at Kenilworth last Tuesday. A really consistent filly, the four-year-old Supercilious, who was a good fourth in last season’s Listed Sweet Chestnut Stakes, has now won or placed in 13 of her 16 outings to date and she should not stop here!
Visionaire then recorded a hatrick of wins at the Vaal just two days later, when his progeny Crazy Vision, Brigtnumbersix and Copper Pot all landing their respective heats.
Remarkably, the sire had another trio of winners at Greyville the very next day, when all of Missibaba, Damali and Crystal Ball scored.
South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire of 2014-2015, Visionaire stood his first season at Lammerskraal this year for a fee of R40 000.
