Lammerskraal’s in-form sire Visionaire enjoyed a treble of victories on Saturday with his offspring scoring from 1200-1400m metres on the day.
Visionaire had just one runner at Greyville on Saturday –with daughter One Dimension giving her sire a 100% strike rate at Greyville for the day. Making just her second racetrack outing, the Johan Janse Van Vuuren trained 3yo ran on smartly under jockey Warren Kennedy to break her maiden in good style over 1400m.
Bred by the Summerhill Stud, One Dimension was a R160 000 purchase from last year’s CTS Johannesburg Ready To Run Sale.
Other winners for Visionaire on Saturday were the Candice Dawson trained pair of Town Flyer, who broke his maiden by five and a half lengths, and the regally bred Supreme Vision, who scored an emphatic victory over 1200m.
Former G1 King’s Bishop Stakes winner Visionaire has made a superb start to his stud career in South Africa, with his top performers including Guineas winner Heaps Of Fun and G1 performers Africa Rising and Visuality.
A former Leading First Crop Sire, Visionaire (who covered an exceptional book of mares in 2016) will be represented by nine juveniles on next week’s National Two Year Old Sale, including a full brother to One Dimension.
