Hyperactive wins on debut for Visionaire

The good form enjoyed by Lammerskraal Stud sires continued at the Vaal on Thursday when Visionaire was represented by a smart looking debut winner.
This came in the form of his son Hyperactive, who coasted to a deceptively easy 0.9 of a length success under a typically cool ride from Andrew Fortune.
Hyperactive cruised in with his jockey easing him down at the wire with the 3yo gelding winning with a bit in hand.

Bred by the Barton Hall Stud, the Gokhan Terzi trained Hyperactive was a bargain R65 000 buy at the 2015 National Yearling Sale.

Hyperactive was one of two winners on the day for Visionaire, whose daughter Brigtnumbersix made it win number two, from just four outings, when successful over 1400m later in the day.

Brigtnumbersix and Hyperactive were Visionaire’s only two runners carded for yesterday!

The G1 winning Visionaire, whose 2yo daughter Bridal Veil lines up in Saturday week’s G2 Golden Slipper, has been enjoying a purple patch of late and was represented by four more winners last week.

The son of Grand Slam has 20 lots on offer at next week’s KZN Yearling Sale, including a half-brother to G2 performer Greasepaint (Lot 3), a colt from the family of champion Yard-Arm and Triple Crown winner Abashiri (Lot 20), a colt out of Thekwini Stakes winner Bridal Paths (Lot 176) and a half-brother to Oaks winner Witchcraft (Lot 209).
