Lammerskraal Stud’s successful resident stallion Go Deputy hails from a truly magnificent female line and he received yet another boost to his impeccable bloodlines when 2yo Feralia captured Tuesday’s Listed Criterium du Bequet-Ventes Osarus over 1200m at La Teste De Buch by two and a half lengths.
Now a winner of three of just four outings, Feralia is out of the Dixie Union mare Centralienne –a granddaughter of Partygoer, the dam of G1 winners Dare And Go and Go Deputy.
A daughter of Secretariat, Partygoer is also ancestress of graded/group winners Acago, Quiet Royal and Sandwaki.
This is also the family of breed shaping sires Bull Dog, Fappiano, and Quiet American, as Epsom Derby winner Bois Roussel.
Go Deputy, winner of the 2006 G1 Sword Dancer Invitational and G2 Bowling Green Handicap, is a proven high class sire, whose top performers include Triple Crown winner Abashiri and fellow graded stakes winners Changingoftheguard, Flying Ice, Icy Trail and Pessoa.
