Dance impresses at Scottsville

The Lammerskraal Stud bred Premier Dance really caught the eye when romping to victory at Scottsville on Wednesday.
A daughter of Silvano and Broodmare Of The Year Akinfeet, Premier Dance defied a nearly six month layoff by waltzing home to score a facile two and a half length win for owners Mike and Norma Rattray.

Trained by Dennis Drier and ridden to victory by Sean Veale, Premier Dance was attempting the 2000m trip for a first time but this proved no obstacle to the progressive three-year-old, who has now won three of just five outings and has now won from 1200-2000 metres.

She is a half-sister to triple G1 winner and Equus Champion Capetown Noir, currently standing at Summerhill Stud, as well as to G3 August Stakes winning millionaire Across The Ice.

Premier Dance’s outstanding dam is set to visit leading young sire Gimmethegreenlight in 2017.
